End of SATs cooking and DT 15.5.15

After complete a 'Big Write' first thing this morning, year 6 had a creative morning/afternoon.  We created containers and made rice crispy cakes to go inside.  After a busy week of testing, this was a welcome change!

End of SATs doughnuts 14.5.15

Today marked the end of the Reading, SPAG and Maths SATs assessments.  Year 6 have come to school early for breakfast club everyday and have worked very hard on their tests this week (and indeed this year so far!).  To celebrate the end of this set of assessments (writing to focus on next!) we took on the 'SATs doughnut challenge'!  The challenge is to eat the whole doughnut without licking your lips!

Lifeskills trip 6.5.15

On Wednesday afternoon Year 6  attended ‘Lifeskills’ at The Create Centre. Lifeskills is an interactive safety education centre, built as a realistic village, which has been developed to teach people how to deal with potentially difficult or dangerous situations, whilst in a safe environment.  We learnt a lot about keeping ourselves safe, but also had fun.
