On Tuesday the 21st of June 8 students from Cabot primary
school attended a chess tournament at Henleaze primary school. The 8 students
were selected for the tournament because they had come top of our own mini tournament in school. We took
two taxis to Henleaze and we went with Mrs Green and Mrs Mepham.
At 1 o’clock it started. We had about 5 matches each; coming
very high in the leader board. Amazingly, Tauheed won all his matches and got a
medal for his hard work.
Two teams attended: One was called Cabot Crushers and the
other was called Cabot Eliminators. Fantastically, Cabot eliminators came 11th
out of 27 and Cabot Crushers came amazingly high: 5th of out 27. Cabot crushers
were also the best year sixes there therefore we got medals and a magnetic
chess set. We went back to school and took our medals home. On Monday we will celebrate
our achievement with the whole school.
