To round off the work we have been completing on Vikings, we
had a visit from ‘Ulf’ today. We spent a
brilliant day finding out more about the Vikings. The activities included: a Viking quiz,
learning a Viking board game, Listening to the Viking creations story of 'Ragnarok', touching replica artefacts and battle re-enactments! What an amazing day it was!

30.11.16 RSPB
Today we had a visit form the RSPB. They talked to us about the habitats that
could be found on our school grounds.
After that, we went for a habitat hunt.
When we had finished, we realised that our school grounds had the
potential to support the natural environment well. We are looking forward to doing more,
particularly in our science area, to attract nature.
28.11.16 Terrariums
In literacy, we are learning about explanation texts. To help us understand more about how the
water cycle works we made our own terrariums:
End of Term one DT
Over term one, year 6 have designed and made their own 'operation' style viking themed games. Using our knowledge of electronics, from the work we have been doing in science, we we able to construct a circuit that would cause a buzzer to sound if the player touched the edge of a hole when trying to pick up an object.
Here are our finished games!
